COVID-19 has changed our day-to-day lives, but if there are people in need, our community will find a way to help. As a result, FosterAdopt Connect is introducing The Mobile Pantry at it’s Independence office on June 25, 2020 to safely provide food and new items to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. The pantry will follow all health and safety protocols by pre-sorting boxes of food and placing them directly into the back of your car. All you need to do is drive up to our West Missouri building (Click here for directions), stop, open your trunk and allow us to place a box of food inside. Above all, we are taking these steps to keep the entire process as contactless as possible for the benefit of all kids, families, and staff.

The Mobile Pantry will be open and ready to serve you at the Independence office every Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Also, please share this with foster, adoptive, or kinship families who can benefit from a box of food and friendly wave on their way back home.

The Mobile Pantry will not be available July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

NOTE: We are currently not accepting used clothing per the recommendations of local health officials. We are doing this to maintain as much safety as possible for those who have the responsibility of sorting the clothes. As well as the families who would be receiving them. Thank you for your generous wish to support foster kids with your clothing donations. Your desire to help is always energizing and appreciated.

You, or someone you know, may not currently need the help of The Mobile Pantry. However, our holistic approach to caring for kids and families impacted by child welfare may help in another area of life. FosterAdopt Connect offers Youth Support, Family Permanency Family Support services and programs that work to help families in need.

As always, thank you for your continued support helping keep children healthy, happy and safe. Click here to donate and click here to find out how to get involved and start helping kids today.
