FosterAdopt Connect actively monitors the changing needs of children in foster and adoptive care within the community to identify gaps in available services. To fill these gaps, we search nationally and internationally for best practices to implement and, if none are available, we create innovative solutions to improve outcomes for the children and families we serve.

Connect Cafe supports young adults aging out of foster care by providing community, resources, and practical support as they transition into independence.

🤔 FAC FAQs: Where will the child go to school or day care?
Children attend the local school in your community, and this must be discussed with the child’s caseworker. If the child is not of school age, working foster and adoptive parents may choose a daycare home or facility for the child as long as it’s state-licensed and contracted. The state may also reimburse for before- and after-school care until the child is 13.
