FosterAdopt Connect actively monitors the changing needs of children in foster and adoptive care within the community to identify gaps in available services. To fill these gaps, we search nationally and internationally for best practices to implement and, if none are available, we create innovative solutions to improve outcomes for the children and families we serve.

Stories of children being harmed by the very people entrusted to care for them are heartbreaking and infuriating. When that happens, there must be accountability, and we will always be working to strengthen the systems designed to protect children and ensure their safety.
But stories in the headlines can also leave the public with a distorted picture of foster families.
Every day, thousands of foster parents quietly open their homes and their lives to children who need safety, stability and a loving family. They show up for appointments, school meetings and court hearings. They comfort children through incredibly difficult moments, celebrate their successes and make countless sacrifices to provide love and stability.
Those stories rarely receive the same attention.
We should always work for, and demand better when the system fails a child. Accountability and stronger safeguards matter. However, their actions do not define the thousands of foster parents who are doing this difficult work with compassion, patience and love.
To those families: We see you. We appreciate you. And we know the tremendous difference you make in the lives of children every day.
