Amia Media Profile 3.11

Amia

Amia is a bright, confident, and energetic 16-year-old African American girl who will be starting her Sophomore year in the 2025–2026 school year. She is 5’9” with black hair, brown eyes, and a welcoming smile. Amia enjoys being active and isn’t afraid to try something new. She loves playing football and video games and is interested in giving softball a try to see if it’s something she might enjoy. She’s not a fan of the cold and would rather skip ice skating or any outdoor winter activities. While Amia doesn’t mind pets, she would prefer a dog. Her favorite animals are elephants, giraffes, and hippos—but she’s clear that snakes and spiders are a definite “no.”

Amia loves food and is willing to try new things based on how they look or feel. Her favorite snacks are Twix, Cheetos Puffs, and Dr. Pepper—treats she says she could enjoy any day of the week!

When it comes to style, Amia likes to switch things up depending on her mood. Some days, she prefers to be comfortable in sweats and a t-shirt, and other days, she enjoys wearing a dress and heels. She doesn’t wear makeup, but she enjoys having her hair done and wearing jewelry.

Amia describes her perfect day as going shopping at H&M, taking a long nap, and finishing the day with frozen yogurt. She desires a family that will love and accept her unconditionally—a place where she can feel secure, supported, and cherished for exactly who she is. She does well in a consistent, structured environment where she feels safe and supported. Amia is also very in tune with her emotions—she’s not afraid to share how she’s feeling.

Amia enjoys being around other kids but does best in a home where babysitting is not a part of her daily chores. She naturally steps into that caregiver role, and sometimes needs a gentle reminder that she’s still a kid, too. She’s kind, loving, and thoughtful—and she deserves the chance to just be herself in a home where she feels truly at ease. With the right support and consistency, she has so much potential to grow and shine.
