Access to timely, quality behavioral health care in the Kansas City Metro area is hard to come by for foster and adopted kids. To better serve children who have experienced abuse and neglect, FosterAdopt Connect launched a new program in partnership with Dr. Michele Kilo to meet behavioral health needs. Using the increasingly popular model of direct health care, parents pay an affordable monthly membership fee based on taxable income. The membership give families direct access to Dr. Kilo for everything from crisis help to questions about medication management.
We’re excited to offer this much needed support to children and families as we know it will help reduce foster care disruptions, hospitalizations and give general peace of mind to parents.
