Independence, MO (January 24, 2022) – FosterAdopt Connect hired Josh Hollingsworth as VP of Marketing & Communications in November 2021. Hollingsworth oversees the marketing, communications, and public relations of all resource center offices in Missouri and Kansas and provides leadership and guidance to the team of marketing, communications, and design professionals that develop the organization’s promotion and awareness efforts.

Hollingsworth brings with him ten years of leadership experience at the Kansas City Zoo, where he developed and expanded marketing programs and events and improved the Zoo’s brand, reputation, and guest satisfaction.

Hollingsworth graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Business Photography. He is an accomplished photographer and his work has graced the cover and pages of many magazines. He and his husband Ian reside in Brookside with their two dogs. He has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City and has been matched with his little brother Daevin for eight years.

This month, FosterAdopt Connect hired Kathleen Brady as VP of Development. Brady will oversee the Development team, build community partnerships, and lead fundraising efforts aimed at advancing FosterAdopt Connect’s mission.

Brady has over 20 years of leadership experience in higher education and nonprofit fundraising. She has a passion for advocating for children who have been abused and neglected and raising support for organizations that provide safety and connection for children in crisis.

Before joining FosterAdopt Connect, Brady served as Director of Development at KVC Health Systems in Olathe, Kansas. She began her fundraising career as major gifts officer at the KU Endowment Association. As her career progressed, she undertook increasingly responsible leadership positions at three other major universities: San José State University, Cal State East Bay, and University of Saint Mary.

Brady is the youngest of eight children and the first in her family to graduate from college. She is a Kansas native and a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned an undergraduate degree in English and a master’s in Public Administration. She enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her daughter, Katie, and her rescue beagle, Sadie.

“We are so excited to have the experience and expertise that Kathleen and Josh bring to the development department at FosterAdopt Connect,” says Bridgett Myers, Chief Development Officer at FosterAdopt Connect. “Their presence will bring the added resources we need to continue to serve more children and families in the KC metro area in 2022 and beyond.”
