Each of the organizations that comprise the Foster/Adoption Network needs volunteers. You can work one-on-one with children, provide administrative help in an office, or even work a few hours at a special event. Sharing your time and talents helps us to reach out to
those in need.
You could help with summer camps, Scouting programs, school activities...but most important, you'll be a role model for the children who need one most.
Some agencies will help you to become a Volunteer Visiting Friend, offering emotional and practical support to isolated families who are overwhelmed by their responsibilities. You'll help parents strengthen their skills and show them how to access community resources. (Programs like this usually require that you be at least 21 years old and be able to commit to weekly face-to-face visits for a minimum of one year.)
Please contact one of our member
agencies for information on volunteer opportunities.
If you would like to help, but don not have the time to volunteer, you can still support the work of the Foster/Adoption Network by sending a check
to:
Children Awaiting Parents, Inc.
595 Blossom Road, Suite 306
Rochester, NY 14610
You can also go to CAP's home page and click on the "give" button. You can use your credit card to
help the Foster/Adoption Network.
