We need families who are willing to take foster children on an emergency basis—those kids who need to be removed from unsafe situations right away. You will be asked to care for these children anywhere from a few hours, a few days or a few weeks, until we can successfully place them in more long-term foster care settings. These placements don't last longer than 30 days.

We do require emergency foster families to be available to receive children 24 hours a day, and that you be reachable by phone or pager. Emergency care families complete the same preparation and homestudy required of all foster parents. Click here for more details.
